Imam 'Ali: His Place in Muslim Thought and History
More than 350 people attended a one-day conference on October 17, 2009, sponsored by The Jafaria Association of Connecticut and Hartford Seminary, on Imam 'Ali: His Place in Muslim Thought and History, at the Sheraton Hotel in Hartford, CT.

Speakers offered presentations on various aspects of The Life and Faith, Commitment, Justice and Divine Knowledge, including Hartford Seminary Professors Mahmoud Ayoub on Imam 'Ali and Muslim Unity and Yahya Michot on Imam 'Ali in Sunni Muslim Tradition.

The Jafaria Association of Connecticut has generously decided to use proceeds from this conference to award partial scholarships to two international students at Hartford Seminary who are in the Master of Arts program in Islam and Christian-Muslim relations.
