Hartford Seminary hosts conference on Church Challenges: Ecclesiology and Leadership Today

On June 11, the leading judicatory leaders in Connecticut met in a rare panel discussion to explore contemporary challenges faced by congregations and denominations. Among the topics discussed were interfaith practices, spirituality, and emerging challenges for the future. Shown, from left to right, are: The Rev. On June 12, two scholars discussed their recent writings on matters facing the church and how these intersect with recent developments in the field of ecclesiology. They were Roger Haight, Visiting Professor of Systematic Theology, Union Theological Seminary, and author of the three-volume "Christian Community in History" and Nicholas Healy, Associate Dean, St. John's University, New York, and author of "Church, World, and the Christian Life: Practical-Prophetic Ecclesiology
