Hartford Seminary Cited in National Report on Shortage of Imams
National Public Radio's All Things Considered program recently reported that as Islam grows in the United States, imams are in short supply. Today, there are more than 2,100 American mosques but they have a challenge: There aren't enough imams, or spiritual leaders, to go around.
Hartford Seminary is cited as one the very few schools to train imams in America.
